Melbourne, Australia: Off spinner Nathan Lyon took five wickets and reached 100 in his test career as Australia dismissed England for 179 on Saturday, giving the hosts a target of 231 runs to win the fourth test.
Ben Stokes was out for 19 shortly after tea scooping a Lyon ball to mid-off and Mitchell Johnson had Bairstow caught behind for 21.
Lyon brought up his 100th test wicket and hastened England's second 3-1 collapse of the day when he bowled Tim Bresnan (0) and had Stuart Broad caught for a duck by Michael Clarke at slip two balls later.
Kevin Pietersen hit 49 before becoming Lyon's fifth wicket when he lofted the ball to Ryan Harris at long-off.
Johnson had Monty Panesar lbw for a duck to end the innings.
