Sachin Tendulkar rarely loses his cool on or off the field. But his patience finally ran out after he received some extremely shoddy service from British Airways.
Sachin, who is currently in the US for the Cricket All Stars series, said that he was 'angry, disappointed and frustrated' with the airline's 'don't care attitude.'
He was so upset that he attached the hashtag "NeveronBA" to his tweet.
The master blaster was provoked by British Airways' refusal to confirm a family member's waitlisted ticket though seats were available.
And to compound his woes, the airline tagged his luggage to the wrong destination.
"Angry Disappointed and Frustrated.. #BAdserviceBA Family member's Waitlisted ticket not confirmed despite seats being available (1/2)" Sachin tweeted.
"And luggage being tagged by @British_Airways to wrong destination and don't care attitude! #NeveronBA (2/2)" he added.
Facing a PR disaster, the airline apologised and promised to take action.
"@sachin_rt We're sorry to hear this Sachin, could you please DM us your baggage ref, full name and address so we can look into this for you?" tweeted an employee of British Airways from the airline's Twitter account.
The Twitterati reacted to the furore by noting that British Airways was pouring salt on Sachin's wounds by asking for his full name.
One tweeter wondered if Maria Sharapova was handling the British Airways account while another said the airline could be excused for not knowing where to send the baggage since God is omnipresent!
