New Delhi, Mar 21: England coach Andy Flower is confident about his side being on course for a quarter-final berth in the 2011 World Cup cricket tournament following Bangladesh's over 200 run loss to South Africa.

Stating that the England team is fully motivated to face any opponent, The Telegraph quoted Flower, as saying: “Whichever venue we go to and whichever opposition we face we've got to deal with it. We've got to look whatever challenge we have straight in the eye and get on with it.

He added: “This team relishes a challenge. I think they are turned on by the size of the challenge and the quarter-final of the World Cup is as exciting as it gets for everyone.”

Refusing to discount the possibility of returns for senior players like James Anderson and Paul Collingwood, Flower said: “I think experience is very important in a tournament like this.”

Flower said: “Form and fitness fluctuate, which is why we made those changes, but I'd rather look at it as Wright and Tredwell performing brilliantly after not playing much cricket, though that does not guarantee them a start in the next match. When you play for England it is not about being rewarded, as selectors it is our responsibility to pick the best side to win the game."
