India's bygone cricket hero Yuvraj Singh was seen feeding little birds on Thursday, a golden gesture that has already created a buzz among netizens.

"Feeding my new friends. Nothing better than feeding someone’s empty stomach try it #feelgoodfactor," Yuvraj wrote on Facebook alongside the video, in which he was seen feeding birds.

The 36-year-old batsman from Chandigarh also mentioned his wife Hazel Keech in the post, indicating that the couple is on a vacation somewhere on this earth.

Yuvraj last played for India in June 2017, in an ODI match against West Indies at North Sound.

Currently struggling with the fitness issues, he missed the ongoing six-match ODI series and upcoming three-match ODI series in South Africa.

Another forgotten middle-order batsman Suresh Raina was, however, rewarded for his recent domestic performance with a recall to the Indian Twenty20 squad for the three-match series against South Africa, starting February 18.

Raina has overcome fitness issues to make it to the 16-man squad led by Virat Kohli. The southpaw had played his last international, a T20 against England, in February 2017 before being sidelined with fitness issues.

Passing the mandatory 'Yo-Yo' test also paved the way for his return. He was also in top form in the recently-concluded Super League of Syed Mushtaq Ali, smashing an unbeaten hundred and a couple of half-centuries for Uttar Pradesh. (Read full story)
