New Delhi: Indian limited-over skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is known for his cool and composed nature. This is the reason he is famous in the cricket world as ‘Captain Cool’.

However, there have been instances when Dhoni has lost his temper. One such incident occurred when the on-field umpires capsized the decision of the third umpire during a high-voltage clash between India and Australia.

It happed during the seventh ODI match between the two teams in Brisbane in 2012. Australian batsman Michael Hussey was stumped by Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Suresh Raina’s bowling.

The replays, however, clearly showed that Hussey’s foot was well behind the line when Dhoni whipped off the bails.

The incident happened in the 29th over and ground umpire Billy Bowden signalled it towards the third umpire, Bruce Oxenford.

However, the red sign flashed on the screen, post which Hussey started heading back to the pavilion as the Indian team started celebrating.

But immediately Bowden started chasing Hussey and asked him to resume his innings as he was safe.

Dhoni was quite upset with the decision and complained the on-round umpires about this, pointing his finger towards Billy Bowden.

The third umpire Oxenford later said that he hit the right button but it was due to some technical fault that the wrong decision appeared on the big screen.
