Talismanic Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara registered his 18th Test century and third of the ongoing series against Australia. Pujara has shown brilliant patience throughout this tour and is currently the leading run-scorer in the four-match Test series.

Pujara who was dropped from first Test match on England tour has been performing exceptionally well in white clothes since then. Aussie bowlers have failed to trouble the ICC no. 4 ranked batsman throughout this series. With Pujara's calm and composed nature, the aggressive Kangaroos are frustrated with his batting techniques.

A funny incident happened during the Day 1 of the fourth Test when off-spinner Nathan Lyon frustration was seen on the field and he asked Pujara who was on the non-striking end that, “Aren’t you bored, yet?”. To which Pujara gave a quirky smile in reply.

Earlier, Pujara proves his worth as a red-ball specialist after India lost KL Rahul early. He put up a 116-run partnership with Mayank Agarwal (77) and a 51-run stand with skipper Virat Kohli (23) after India won the toss and elected to bat first.

So much so, India were scoring at a run-a-minute at one stage before drinks, as 64 runs came in the first hour of play after lunch.

At stumps, Pujara (130) and Hanuma Vihari (39) were holding fort for the visiting side, which is in pursuit of a maiden Test series triumph on Australian soil. Virat Kohli's men have already secured the Border-Gavaskar Trophy with their unassailable lead.

At the Sydney Cricket Ground, Pujara faced 250 balls, hitting 16 of them for fours, and added 75 runs for the unbeaten fifth-wicket stand with Vihari.
