Anmolpreet Singh shocked everyone with one of the best catches of the season.

The most prestigious domestic cricket tournament in India - Ranji Trophy - throws up exciting talent every year. During the ongoing season in a match between Andhra Pradesh and Punjab being played at Visakhapatnam, Punjab's Anmolpreet Singh took a sensational catch of the opposition batsman Srikar Bharat that has attracted huge attention on Twitter and other social media websites.

After Punjab had been dismissed for 414 in their first innings, Andhra were cruising along at 190/3 with Bharat on 76. Just then off the bowling of IPL sensation Mayank Markande, the batsman hit the ball in the air towards deep square-leg region. Even though Anmol was far away from the ball, he started running towards it and scooped it up just millimetres away from the ground to complete an outstanding catch.

However, it couldn't stop Andhra from closing in on a first innings lead as they rode a magnificent 181 from RK Bhui to reach within one run of Punjab's first innings score.

The Ranji Trophy this year features 9 new teams with eight from the North-East along with Bihar coming back into the fold after a gap of 18 years.

Brief Scores at Lunch, Day 4: Punjab 414 (Sanvir Singh 110, Mandeep Singh 68), AP 413/7 (RK Bhui 181, Bharat 76) trail by 1 run
