December was indeed a month of celebrations for Indian cricket. India captain Virat Kohli married Bollywood star Anushka Sharma in Italy on December 11 and after returning to India, the couple hosted two grand receptions - in New Delhi and Mumbai - attended by who's who of cricket, Bollywood and of course Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians allrounder and Hardik Pandya's brother Krunal Pandya also tied the knot with fiancee Pankhuri Sharma at a ceremony in Mumbai. If Kohli and Anushka's reception in Mumbai saw some of the biggest stars in attendance, Krunal's wedding night was also no less than a starry night.
Many present and past cricketing stars graced the wedding, including Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma and India opener KL Rahul. Fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat, who impressed in the recently-concluded T20I series against Sri Lanka, came to the event with allrounder Irfan Pathan, Kiran More and Parthiv Patel.
However, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, who is also the mentor of three-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians, stole the show. Tendulkar was personally received by Hardik at the venue.
Apart from Tendulkar, Mumbai Indians owner and industrialist Mukesh Ambani also attended the function along with Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
