Former India opener Virender Sehwag on Wednesday wished the legendary Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne on his 48th birthday in his own unique style. Sehwag has created a huge fan following on twitter for his good sense of humour and particularly for tweeting birthday wishes to present and former cricketers. The Nawab of Najafgarh was once again at best while tweeting birthday greetings to Warne. "Batsmen always wished ur hands were plastered like this while you were bowling, or at least you warned them. Happy Birthday legend Shane Warne," Sehwag tweeted.
Warne, who turned 48 today, is regarded as the best leg-spinner of all time. During his illustrious career spanning 15 years, Warne bamboozled the batsmen with his flippers and leg breaks.
Warne's record of 708 wickets in Test cricket remains the second-best in the format behind Sri Lankan legend Muttiah Muralitharan's haul of 800 wickets.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) too wished Warne on his birthday with a special video clip about the leg-spinner's take on his "ball of the century" which completely foxed England's Mike Gatting in 1993.
Meanwhile, Sehwag, who has been out of the cricket field for some time now, will return to action in the T10 format which will be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He will join the likes of Chris Gayle, Kumar Sangakkara and Shahid Afridi. The teams participating in the league are Team Punjabis, Team Pakhtoons, Team Maratha, Team Banglas, Team Lankans, Team Sindhis and Team Keralites, among others.
