Indian skipper Virat Kohli sent out a heartfelt message to the Afghanistan cricket team and the fans on the success in the T20 tournament. The right-handed powerhouse showered accolades on the players for their efforts and the passion that drives them to play cricket. Kohli congratulated the board on their recent success amid the distraction in their country. The ACB recently signed Dean Jones as their new interim head coach on their tour to Hong Kong.

The Afghan Cricket posted a video with the Indian skipper advising and encouraging the players and fans to continue their strive for success.

"I want to congratulate you on your T20 tournament and I would like to wish you all the very best in your future and the cricket journey you have had so far. It's been amazing to watch and I've been always following to see what you guys have been doing. I haven't been to Afghanistan, but the vision is strong and I see the passion when the cricketers play, the same kind of passion that is shared back at home," said Kohli.

"What I have learnt in my small journey so far is that self-belief and hard work will get you success for sure in whatever you do in life. There will always be some distractions but if you remain true to yourself, then success will come to you for sure. So whatever you do, do with full passion and work really hard towards it. That's all I wanted to say and send across this message to the players," said the Indian skipper.

"Also, I want to say that create your own ideas, create your own identity. You always learn from people but never blindly follow anyone. You must always have your own character and have enough belief in that character," concluded Kohli.

The Kohli led Indian team recently drew the three-match T20I series 1-1 as the final game at Hyderabad was called off due to a wet outfield. India had already demolished the visitors in the five-match ODI series 4-1. India will now take on the Australian neighbours, New Zealand in a three-match ODI and T20 series which begins from October 22.
