Virat Kohli takes to social media to wish his sister on Rakhi

As India celebrates Raksha Bandhan on August 26, the love for respective siblings is once again reignited and various cricketers have taken to social media to wish their sisters, but out of all, it was this throwback picture by the Indian captain which left everyone in awe.

Virat Kohli took to his Instagram account to wish his sister on Raksha Bandhan. However, the Indian skipper is unrecognisable in the picture he uploaded. His caption reads,'Throwback to fond memories with @bhawna_kohli_dhingra didi. Wishing a very Happy #Rakhi to all the sisters around the world. #Rakhshabandhan'

As he leads the Indian cricket team in a Test series against England, the captain misses out on celebrating Rakhi with his sister.

The Indian Test vice-captain, Ajinkya Rahane, also took to social media to wish his sister on Rakhi.

Rahane's caption reads,'Today on Raksha Bandhan, I miss having my rakhi tied by you just like every year. You are the best sister one could ask for!' #HappyRakshaBandhan Apurva.

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to share his sibling love with his sister.

His caption reads,'Memories will always be there forever and the bond of love always grows stronger and stronger. #HappyRakshaBandhan, Tai!'

Former Team India opener Virender Sehwag also took to Twitter to share a brother-sister bond on Rakhi.

His caption reads,' Celebrating the wonderful inseparable bond that is Raksha Bandhan. With my lovely sisters Anju ji and Manju ji , I Ganju ji :)

Wishing you all a very #HappyRakshaBhandan'.

Coming to cricket, the Indian captain recently scored his 23rd Test century in Nottingham, which now sees him claim the No.1 spot in the ICC Test batsman rankings.

The Indian fans hope for the Kohli-show to continue in England as he has exorcised his demons of 2014. The skipper has silenced his critics, scoring two Test centuries in the three Tests India has played so far.

However, the Indian cricket team are still in dire straits as they trail the five-match rubber 1-2. Albeit India manage to win the 4th Test at Southampton, they would draw the series.

Pressure mounts on Kohli as India face England in the penultimate decider at Southampton, which commences from August 30.
