Virat Kohli has added yet another feather to his coloured cap as he now becomes the Indian Premier League's all-time highest scorer. The Royal Challenger Bangalore's skipper has overtaken Chennai Super Kings' Suresh Raina who was leading the charts for quite a while and has added another feat to his glorious list of accolades. Not to forget, he is also the only player in the IPL to get 5000 franchise runs for the same team. A staggering performance so far in the Indian Premier League and the skipper is all game for any challenge.
The Team India and RCB skipper attained this feat during Match 14 of the 11th edition of the cash-rich league against Mumbai Indians in the Wankhede Stadium. It doesn't take long for the 29-year old defy all odds and top the charts. Be it International cricket, any format of the game (Test, ODI and T20I), the right-hand aggressive batsman is there to mark his legacy and now that he has played all eleven seasons, he is right there on top as the IPL's highest run scorer.
In the 153 matches he has played, Kohli has smashed 4565 runs in 145 innings. The all-time highest scorer also has the most centuries to his name in the IPL, scoring 4 tons. With the highest score of 113 and a scintillating strike rate of 129.87, the RCB skipper is nowhere close to slowing down. He also has 32 fifties to his name where he has hammered 399 fours and 163 sixes.
The leading run-getter in IPL history has a different tale to tell as he adds another feat to his remarkable cabinet.
