England defeated India by 60 runs to win series 3-1

India suffered a 60-run defeat against England in the fourth Test at the Rose Bowl Cricket Stadium in Southampton on Sunday to go down 1-3 in the five-match series.

Chasing 245 runs for victory, the visitors were bowled out for 184. Besides captain Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane's fifties, no other batsman was able to contribute to India's chase, thus losing their third successive Test series loss on England soil.

Moeen Ali was once again responsible for India's collapse as his 4/71 saw off Kohli (58), Rahane (51), Pant (18) and Shami (8),

The openers once again failed to deliver as Dhawan (17) and KL Rahul (0) were dismissed in the first session itself. Cheteshwar Pujara, who scored a century in the first innings, failed to convert as he was dismissed for 5, courtesy of James Anderson.

The Indian cricket team had a chance of chasing the target set by the hosts as Kohli and Rahane's 101 partnership built India's momentum., however, once the skipper departed, it was all down-hill for the visitors, thus succumbing to another loss.

The Indian cricket fans did not take this lightly as they shared their views on the series loss.

The Indian team will now focus on the fifth and final match of the Test series, which will be played at the iconic Oval.
