The Indian team departed for England and Wales on Tuesday night for the 2019 World Cup, which starts on May 30 with hosts England taking on South Africa.
After a confident and upbeat pre-departure press conference earlier in the day, Kohli & Co. looked set to embark on their quest to bring home India's third 50-over World Cup trophy. So far, India have lifted the coveted trophy in 1981 and 2011 while the Men in Blue also won the inaugural World T20 title in South Africa in 2007.
India will reach England on Wednesday and will play two practice games on May 25 (New Zealand at The Oval) and May 28 (Bangladesh at Cardiff) before beginning their campaign against the Proteas on June 5 at the Rose Bowl.
The players including Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and others shared photos of them on social media before their departure.
