Indian veteran Harbhajan Singh is one of the most decorated players in the history of the Indian Premier League after winning his fourth IPL trophy with Chennai Super Kings in the 11th edition of the cash-rich league.
Bhajji, won his first three titles with Mumbai Indians and was then brought to the Yellow camp, where he won his fourth in his maiden season under the leadership of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Following CSK's win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the finals at Wankhede stadium in Mumbai, the veteran uploaded an image of himself along with former Team India skipper MS Dhoni, reminiscing the time when they lifted the 2011 ICC World Cup at the same venue, seven years ago.
Harbhajan's caption read: Same ground where we won the World Cup 2011 together and never imagine we would be playing together in IPL for the same team and winning it after 10 years playing against each other’s...Wankhede lucky venue for us?
It was truly a nostalgic time when Dhoni hit a six to wrap up matters against Sri Lanka to win the World Cup at home. Here are a few nostalgic moments from Wankhede seven years back.
CSK were considered to have a squad where most of the players were aged over 30, however that mindset backfired for the rest of the franchises as the MS Dhoni team showed grit and determination as they had their eyes on the prize from day one. It was a fairytale comeback for CSK after serving a two-year suspension.
