The Australian cricket team will turn back the clock in the three-match ODIs against India as they will don the retro green and gold kits which was worn by an Allan Border led Australia side back in 1986 when they faced India.
The hosts plan to don the retro kit for the three-match ODI series with the 1st ODI commencing from January 12 in Sydney.
The original kit which was worn back in 1986.
Here's the Australian team reviving 1986.
An excited Peter Siddle, who has been named in the 16-member ODI squad, was highly enthusiastic to don the retro kit as he makes a return to the ODI team after 9 long years. He last played for the Kangaroos in November 2010, but his recent form in white ball cricket has seen him receive a call up to the national squad.
"It's pretty amazing," Siddle told cricket.com.au recently about his ODI recall.
"I never really thought it'd come. To get another one-day game hadn't even crossed my mind.
"I'm just as amazed as a young bloke getting his first call-up, that's what it feels like. It feels like I'm starting all over again, so I'm very thankful."
