The Sawai Mansingh Stadium was built during the rule of Maharaja of Jaipur - Sawai Man Singh II (1922 – 1948). Located near Rambagh Circle, the stadium has a capacity of 30,000. The stadium underwent a major renovation for Rs 400 crore in 2006, wherein new media rooms, galleries, two new blocks were added. A state-of-the-art cricket academy was also built at a cost of Rs 7 crore. The Sawai Mansingh Stadium is the home ground for 2008 Indian Premier League champions - Rajasthan Royals.
