Spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who bagged four wickets in his debut Test against Australia today, was showered with praises by cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar for his excellent performance.
Expressing his admiration for the young bowler, Tedulkar tweeted, “I am impressed with @imkuldeep18's variations and the way he has started. Keep going strong, this can be your match to shine”.
Kuldeep, who was called as a replacement for injured skipper Virat Kohli, dismissed David Warner, Handscomb, Glenn Maxwell and Cummins, while giving away 68 runs in his 23 overs.
His excellent bowling performance helped the hosts to restrict Australia to 300 runs in their first innings in the decisive fourth Test in Dharamsala.
Kuldeep was in tears after getting his maiden Test wicket. After the over, Kohli was seen having a chat with the youngster at the boundary line.
Every wicket that the youngster got had coach Anil Kumble stand up and applaud.
In the three Test matches, India opted for seven batsmen, and four bowlers. But in Dharamsala, they have opted for six batsmen, five bowlers.
