The wishes and congratulatory messages pour in as Rohit Sharma becomes the first batsman to score three double hundreds in ODI cricket. Rohit achieved this feat against Sri Lanka in the 2nd ODI of the three-match series in Mohali. The opener had already made his mark as he made the world record of the highest score of 264 runs in ODI cricket, against yours truly, Sri Lanka. (Read about Rohit's third double hundred)

Former cricketers and players have congratulated Rohit on his feat against Sri Lanka who he loves thrashing. Rohit made his first double hundred against Australia (209) in Bengaluru, second against Sri Lanka (264) in Kolkata and third against the Lankans as well (208) in Mohali.

Another milestone surpassed by the 30-year old and he doesn't look anywhere near to add a pause to his game. Rohit has now made 16 centuries, his sixth this year. He has surely enhanced his status as he scripts another record in the cricket history books. 

With mounting pressure on his shoulders, the skipper for the Sri Lanka series has delivered and has set an incredible landmark. The opener will not only celebrate his third double ton, but also his second marriage anniversary as Rohit's wife was seen in the stands, applauding her husband on his centuries.
