Rishabh Pant stars in India A's dominating victory over England Lions

Continuing their dominant display, India A thrashed England Lions in the fourth unofficial ODI to take a 4-0 lead in the five-match series on Tuesday.

India A chased down the target of 222 runs convincingly and won the match by six wickets in 46.3 overs at Thiruvananthapuram.

Rishabh Pant played a destructive knock of unbeaten 73 to take the team over the victory line while come-back man KL Rahul also found some form in with slow but steady innings of 42 runs in 72 balls.

The innings might boost the confidence of KL Rahul after he returned to the team following the Koffee with Karan controversy.

Ollie Pope was the top scorer for the English team with 65 runs, while Shardul Thakur was the pick of the bowlers for India A with the bowling figures of 4-49.

It was one of the most pleasant days for Shardul after returning from groin injury which kept him out of the Indian squad from past few months.

Alongside Pant, allrounder Deepak Hooda also had a power game with the bat as he hammered 47* runs to finish the match with 21 balls to spare.

The ICC Emerging Player of the Year 2018 - Pant was chosen the Man of the Match for his ferocious innings.

The final match of the ODI series will be played on January 31st at the same ground.
