Eleven days after the Uri terror attack that claimed the lives of 18 soldiers, India on Wednesday night conducted “surgical strikes” across the Line of Control in Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
The strikes which used para-commandos and helicopters were conducted at about three locations up to 3 kms across the Line of Control.
There were no Indian casualties in the strikes which took place last night in Pakistani territory.
While most Indians expressed their joy over the big operation that the Indian Army successfully executed, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag took to Twitter to share his joy and show his love for the nation.
Salute to Indian Army.
The boys have played really well.
Jai Hind.#SurgicalStrike, he wrote.
Sehwag has been an active Twitter personality following his retirement. When on field, Sehwag was one of the fiercest against the Pakistanis.
