Suresh Raina on Thursday made a comeback to the national team when selectors reposed their faith in the left-handed star batsman for the five-match One Day International (ODI) series against New Zealand, starting on October 16.
Baroda all-rounder Hardik Pandya has also been recalled to the national team while Mohammed Shami, Ravindra Jadeja and R Aswhin have been rested for the upcoming series.
Haryana off-spinner Jayant Yadav has also been named in India's 15-member ODI squad.
The team led by limited overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who last played the ODI and T20 International series in Zimbabwe in June, however, left out regulars like off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja.
India take on New Zealand in a three-match ODI series.
