The Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium is a world class cricket ground located in Mohali, near Punjab's capital Chandigarh. The stadium was opened in 1993 and has a capacity of 30,000. The PCA stadium took three years to complete and around Rs 25 crore was spent to convert the once swampland into one of the best cricketing facilities in India. The stadium first hosted its international match - an ODI between India and South Africa in 1993. It is also the home of Indian Premier League franchise Kings XI Punjab. The pitch of the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium is known to assist the fast bowlers as the wicket carries both pace and bounce.
