Rajasthan Cricket Association has removed the photo of Pakistani cricketers from the Sawai Mansingh Stadium’s picture gallery.

In the aftermath of Pulwama terror attack, Rajasthan Cricket Association has removed the photo of Pakistani cricketers from the Sawai Mansingh Stadium’s picture gallery.

Around 40 CRPF personnel were killed in a deadly terror attack on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway on Thursday.

Soon after the attack, Pakistan-based terror group, Jaish-e-Mohammed, claimed responsibility for the attack and said it was carried out by its suicide bomber.

Secretary Suresh Bafna said that the step was their way of condemning the barbaric attack on their security personnel.

Earlier, Cricket Club of India (CCI) had covered the portrait of Imran Khan at its Brabourne stadium headquarters in Mumbai. The CCI, which is an affiliated unit of BCCI, is home to the iconic Brabourne Stadium, which has hosted many Test matches and is considered to be a cricketing hub.

The entire CCI premises, including its restaurant, adorn portraits of the greatest cricketers across eras and from all nations.

Imran's portrait is one of them as he was a distinguished former cricket captain, who led Pakistan to 1992 World Cup victory.

CCI President Premal Udani confirmed the development to PTI on Saturday, saying a decision in this regard was taken on Friday. (ANI)
