India’s limited over skipper M S Doni has fans all around the world and is one the most popular cricketers in the current generation of cricketers. The cricketer’s immense following has cut across boundaries, something that was proven once again when a cricket lover from Pakistan wore a jersey with Dhoni’s name and number embossed on the back.

The fan, who was spotted at the MCG during the second Test between Australia and Pakistan, created quite a stir and his image has now gone viral on social media.

M S Dhoni is well-known among cricket fans and has so far scored 4876 and 9110 runs in Tests and ODIs respectively. Under his leadership, the Men in Blue have won the ICC World T20 in 2007, World Cup in 2011, ICC Champions Trophy in 2013 and also reached the top of the Test rankings in 2009.

With current relations between India and Pakistan turning bitter after the Uri attacks followed by the surgical strikes by the Indian Army, the move by the fan can prove a risk for him back home.

In early 2016, a Virat Kohli fan was arrested in Pakistan for hoisting the Indian flag. And, at the start of this month, an Indian cricket fan Ripon Chowdhury was detained by the local police in Assam after he wore a jersey with the Shahid Afridi's number embossed on it during a cricket match.
