Retirement on the cards? MS Dhoni to fulfil his childhood dream after illustrious career

Unarguably one of the most successful captains Indian cricket team ever had Mahendra Singh Dhoni, revealed something that no one was aware of before. In a video that has now gone viral on social media, the wicketkeeper-batsman shared his retirement plan with the fans.

The former Indian skipper, who is all set to travel to England as the glovesman for Men in Blue in 2019 World Cup, disclosed that he is preparing to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming an artist.

In the video circulating on social media, Dhoni could be heard saying, "I wanted to share a secret with all of you. Right from childhood I always wanted to become an artist, I have played a lot of cricket so I decided it's time for me now to take up what I wanted so I have made a few paintings."

The 37-year-old then displayed some of his hand-made paintings in the video and asked for suggestions from other artists.

Dhoni also shared his favourite painting, which according to him, is his self-portrait holding the cricket bat in the air.

Minutes after the clip went viral on social media, it became a hot topic for the veteran's fans as they started using #WhyDhoniWhy on Twitter.

After lifting the 2011 World Cup trophy as a captain, this time Dhoni will travel to England under Virat Kohli's leadership. The odds are very high that the greatest finisher for India will hang up the boots after the 2019 World Cup. And the video fueled up the rumours even more, so the stakes will be high for the legendary cricketer to finish his glorious career on a high note.

India will enter the tournament as the hot favourites to win the title alongside hosts England and Australia. The Kohli-led side will start their WC campaign against South Africa on June 5 at The Rose Bowl in Southampton.
