Pacer Mohammed Siraj makes his ODI debut for Team India as the Men in Blue look to clinch the must-win 2nd ODI against Australia in Adelaide. Siraj in place of Khaleel was the only change made to India's playing XI.
The right-arm pacer had made his T20 debut for India back in 2017 against New Zealand.
The pacer made headlines when he finished as the third leading wicket-taker in the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy season, collecting 41 wickets in 9 matches played.
Siraj is currently a part of the Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. He had earlier played for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
For the Men in Blue on the other hand, pressure mounts as the visitors lost the first ODI in Sydney despite Rohit Sharma knocking his 22nd ODI ton. An early collapse saw the hosts handed a substantial advantage as they went on to win the match by 34 runs.
However, for the crunch clash in Adelaide, all eyes will be on the Indian batsmen after a woeful performance in Sydney. With Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and Ambati Rayudu departing one after the other, the trio will look for redemption.
