New Zealand Opener Martin Guptill has been setting the world alight with his whirlwind knocks in limited-overs cricket for a while now. In the latest edition of the Vitality T20 Blast being played in England, the Kiwi blasted 102* off just 38 balls for Worcestershire against Northamptonshire on Friday.
By completing his century off 35 deliveries, Guptill now possesses the record for the joint fourth-fastest T20 century ever in history.
After his side was set a target of 189 runs by the Northants, Guptill opened the innings with a flurry of boundaries and sixes. He hit 12 fours and 7 sixes en route his record-breaking knock at a humongous strike-rate of 268.42.
West Indian opener and self-proclaimed 'Universe Boss' Chris Gayle currently sits at the top of the list of fastest century-makers.
