* Not quite totally unexpected. Mumbai were favourites to win the game and they did so, albeit stretching it to the 19th over. Bangalore were always a few runs light and that proved right in the end.

* STRATEGIC BREAK. Are we in for a thriller? Mumbai were cruising through but some quiet overs have pushed the required run rate above 9.5. Not that it is a concern for Mumbai but the last 27 balls have yielded just 21 runs and a wicket. Probably, the wicket of Surya could be a blessing in disguise for the home side as Hardik Pandya has come out to bat. There is Pollard in the shed as well.

21.23 IST: Jasprit Bumrah to Moeen Ali, Fifty for Moeen. The job is not done yet though and he needs to keep on accelerating and get his side to a big total. He gets to his fifty by flicking it towards mid-wicket.

STRATEGIC BREAK. The last 4 overs have seen some surge from Bangalore. 50 runs have come in that period and all of a sudden, the visitors look good to get to 180. That will still take some getting though, as a wicket here might set the cat free amongst the pigeons. Remember, this is the Wankhede and even 200 can be chased down during the night. Says that being with the team has taught him a lot, mainly their work ethics. Feels that the pitch will do something in the first innings but then dew will make it easier to bat on in the second. Says that he gets a lot of net time even though he does not feature in the playing XI, citing that every squad member is treated in the same manner.
