Live Cricket Score, India vs Sri Lanka: IND 140/7 in 25 overs, SL - 236/8 (50.0 Ovs)

Following a crushing victory in the first one-day international in Dambulla, India will look to carry on their dominant run in the second ODI of the five-match series against Sri Lanka, staring in Pallekele on Thursday. Virat Kohli and his men thrashed a listless Sri Lanka by nine wickets, thanks to Axar Patel's figures of 3/34 which helped them to restrict the hosts for 216. Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan, who struck an unbeaten 132, and captain Virat Kohli (82*) made a light of the target and comfortably chased it down within 29 overs. In the second match too, India will look to continue their ruthless form. In-form batsmen Dhawan and Kohli along with MS Dhoni and all-rounder Hardik Pandya will look to outclass the hosts bowling which has not been up to the mark. In the bowling department, pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah along with spinners Axar Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal will look to trouble the Sri Lankan batting. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka will bank on their opening batsman Niroshan Dickwella who struck a half-century in Dambulla. The hosts will also expect batsmen Danushka Gunathilaka, Kusal Mendis and Angelo Mathews to contribute in the middle-order. All three were off to good starts but failed to build match winning knock in the first ODI. In the bowling department, Sri Lanka will rely on experienced pacer Lasith Malinga, who played his 200th ODI in the last match, to produce early breakthroughs. (LIVE UPDATES | SCORECARD)
