KL Rahul, Dinesh Karthik and Washington Sundar had some fun in Brisbane during the recently concluded T20I series against Australia.
The trio went out for breakfast to an old church which has been converted into an eatery and indulged in some 'cheat meal' for the day, according to Rahul.
The players were seen indulging in some lip-smacking pan cakes and talking about their experiences in Australia so far.
As the conversation unfolded, Karthik asked Rahul about the meal and its repercussions and all Rahul had to say was that it is his favourite place and he always visits the place whenever he is Down Under and he will burn all the calories he gains during training that was scheduled later in the day.
Rahul, who made his India A and international debut in Australia, remembered the times when he played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground for the first time in his debut Test and the Australian crowd tried to get under his skin.
Rahul went on to say that the crowd asked his name while he was fielding at deep-square leg because they didn't know and the moment he mentioned it, the whole section behind him started chanting 'Rahul is a wanker' in unison.
However, he said that he didn't know if they actually meant it or were just trying to have some fun and added that he enjoys playing cricket Down Under nonetheless.
But so far, the tale has been very different for all the three players involved.
Rahul failed to fire and scored only 13 and 14 in the first T20I at Brisbane and third at Sydney respectively while Karthik had almost won India the first game with a 13-ball 30 and stayed at the crease with Virat Kohli in the last game and played a crucial knock of 22 not out off 18 balls in the third game. Sundar on the other hand, didn't get a game in any of the three matches.
India lost the first T20I in Brisbane while the second one in Melbourne was washed out.
Rahul however, will have the chance to turn the fortunes when India get down to business again in the Test series against Australia, starting on December 6 in Adelaide while Karthik and Sundar will fly back to India as they are not a part of the four-match series.
