New Delhi: Former South African cricketer and Mumbai Indians fielding coach Jonty Rhodes’ love for India has been simply incredible. He even named his daughter ‘India’ as she was born in Mumbai last year during the Indian Premier League 2015.
While in India for the ongoing IPL 2016, Rhodes performed a ‘puja’ for the well being of the toddler at Pejawar Mutt in Santacruz, Mumbai few days back.
Draped in traditional Indian attire, Rhodes was accompanied by his wife Melanie Jeanne, daughter India Jeanne Rhodes and his three sons for the rituals.
The cricketing legend posted some very adorable pictures with his family on his Twitter and Instagram account.
He also visited the Annamalaiya Temple in Tamil Nadu with his family.
Expressing his love for India, Rhodes had said last year, “I have spent a lot of time here. What I love about India is that it’s a rich mix of culture, heritage and tradition. It is a very spiritual country, very forward-thinking nation. I really like that combination. You have to have a good balance of life.”
