With their play-off chances hung, Kolkata Knight Riders will keep no stone unturned as they take on Mumbai Indians with a prayer on their lips in a must-win Indian Premier League game on Sunday.
KKR defeated Kings XI Punjab to keep their playoffs hopes alive till the last league game and luck has shined bright on them as Sunrisers Hyderabad lost to RCB on Saturday.
Placed fourth, SRH have a net run-rate of +0.653, which is comparatively better than fifth-placed KKR's +0.173. But, that doesn't matter anymore as a win against the three-time champions will take Kolkata through to the last four as the last team because they will be on 14 points. In case, KKR lose to MI, SRH will sneak through thanks to a better net run-rate.
However, MI would like to carry on the winning momentum as 18 points and a better net run-rate than both first placed Chennai Super Kings and third-placed Delhi Capitals will give them two shots at qualifying for the final.
What to expect?
Expect it to be a good batting track where the ball will come on to his bat pretty well. However, there has been a little grip off the surface for the spinners in the last game. Dew is unlikely to play a part.
