The IPL 2019 is in full flow at the moment with more than one-third of the tournament already being over. While on one hand, the T20 league has been nothing short of entertaining in its first three weeks, one of the complaints that have cropped up from the fans is regarding the matches being played till almost midnight. With almost every game finishing after 23.30 IST and it has caused the players and teams a few headaches.

As a result, teams are often being forced to cut on sleep and take the first flight in the morning as they keep hopping from one venue to another. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) players including the skipper MS Dhoni went through the same predicament after winning the game against visitors Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) last night and then having to board a flight in the wee hours of Wednesday as they are due to play Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur tomorrow.

On his Instagram page, Dhoni posted a picture of himself and his wife Sakshi sleeping on the ground in the waiting area while other CSK players are sitting around. MS captioned the picture: 'After getting used to IPL timing this is what happens if u have a morning flight'.

The franchise also posted the picture on Twitter along with those of other players finding it hard to cope with the jam-packed schedule of the league. In one of the pictures, Ambati Rayudu and Murali Vijay are seen wearing shades to hide their lack of sleep, which is titled: 'Some sleepy eyes behind the shades! Early morning flights be like!! #WhistlePodu #Yellove'.

In another photo, a sleepy-eyed Harbhajan Singh is seen taking the help of coffee to shed the laziness.

Earlier last evening, a clinical CSK maintained their unbeaten run at home with a seven-wicket thrashing of KKR in Chennai. The hosts put up a top-class bowling effort yet again after winning the toss, limiting KKR to 108 for nine despite an unbeaten 50 off 44 balls from the dangerous Andre Russell. With the dew making batting easier in the second half of the match, CSK chased down a rather comfortable target in 17.2 overs.
