Jasprit Bumarh's spell against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday has attracted a lot of praise so much so that Parthiv Patel called him the world's number one bowler.
"The way Bumrah bowled in the last game, he hardly gave anything. Even AB struggled a bit against Bumrah. We won't look too much into it. I thought we were up against the world number one bowler," Patel said during the pre-match conference in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Other than the umpire's colossal error of missing out a no-ball bowled by Lasith Malinga, Bumrah's spell was the most talked about topic post-match as the 25-year old gave just eight runs in his last three overs, which helped Mumbai to dominate Bangalore.
While talking about his team's preparation for the next match against Sunrises Hyderabad, Patel said: "We are coming out from two loses but it is the start of the tournament. Sunrises (Hyderabad) are a good side; they have had a good game last night. But I think for us it is very important to try and stick to our strength and look forward to winning the game."
Sunrises Hyderabad will host Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 31. (ANI)
