In the very next over, Shardul Thakur produced the best moment of the night so far as he took an absolute stunner off his own bowling to send Krunal Pandya back to the pavilion. This was MI's fourth wicket of the game, which has further pushed them on the backfoot in the game.
He covered a significant amount of distance and hung onto the ball. The short ball did the trick for the bowler and Krunal was way too late on the pull shot. He got a top edge which lobbed on the leg side. Thakur sprinted towards the ball, got two hands to it but the ball popped out. He kept his eyes on it and then hung on, tumbled onto the ground after doing so.
