No batsman, other than Ambati Rayudu (22 from 27 balls) and Harbhajan Singh (45 runs from 30 balls) could stand against Pune Supergiants’ strict bowling attack.
Harbhajan Singh with his fiery 45-run inning that included seven fours and a six helped Mumbai Indians reach a respectable total of 121. He struck 25 runs from the last eight balls of the inning.
Rising Pune Supergiants, led by skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, showcased an exquisite bowling performance. Ishant Sharma and Mitchell Marsh bagged two wickets each, giving away 36 and 21 runs respectively in their 4-over slot.
RP Singh, Murugan Ashwin, Ravichandran Ashwin and Rajat Bhatia shared one wicket each.
