Bengaluru: In the fourth match of the Indian Premier League, Royal Challengers Bangalore have set a massive target of 228 runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad here at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Hyderabad won the toss and invited Virat kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore to bat first.
After losing Gayle early, the two run machines, Kohli and AB De Villiers showcased devastating batting performance, making a record partnership of 157 runs for the second wicket.
While Kohli smashed 75 runs from 51 balls with seven fours and 3 sixes, De Villiers shattered Hyderabad’s bowling attack thrashing 82 off just 42 deliveries that included seven fours and 6 sky-rise sixes.
Later, Sarfaraz Khan with his fiery 35-run inning from just 10 balls (five fours and 2 sixes) took the RCB score to a gigantic 227/4 in 20 overs.
For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mustafizur Rahman and Bhubhaneshwar Kumar were the only wicket-takers bagging two wickets each.
In his last and inning’s second last over, Bhubhaneshwar gave away 30 runs that included five extras, 4 fours and a six.
Karn Sharma gave away 57 runs in his 4-over slot without taking any wicket.
