Winning the toss and inviting Delhi Daredevils to bat first, Kolkata Knight Riders showcased strict bowling and fielding performance thereby restricting Daredevils for 98 runs.
Opening the batting for DD, Mayank Agarwal (9 runs from 11 balls) and Quinton de Kock (17 off 10 balls) gave the team a swift start with Daredevils at one time looking strong at 24 for no loss in just 2 overs.
Andre Russell finally managed to get the breakthrough for KKR and dismantled the top order of Delhi Daredevils. He grabbed three wickets giving away 24 runs in 3 overs.
After that, no other Daredevil batsman could manage to put enough runs on the scoreboard. Sanju Samson made 15 runs from 13 balls.
