The Indian women's cricket team featured in the 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' show with the host, the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan. Mithali Raj and co were present to participate in the show where their knowledge was tested and the cricketer's main aim was to donate the winning amount to charity.

Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet Kaur, Jhulan Goswami, Smriti Mandhana, Poonam Raut, Veda Krishnamurthy and Deepti Sharma were the participants in the show of Season 9. Women's coach Tushar Arothe was also present in the audience.

The cricketers were questioned in pairs as Deepti and Mithali won Rs 6.4 lakhs, Jhulan and Harmanpreet won Rs 3.2 lakhs where most of the questions were related to Indian cricket. As media reports suggest, the winners would donate their earnings to the Institute of Social Development.

Mithali Raj and co rose to fame after their performance in the ICC Women's World Cup 2017. The women in blue managed to reach the finals but lost to the hosts England by a narrow margin. The entire nation has been proud of their accomplishment as they have been an epitome for young girls and women in the field of cricket as well as have put the Women's cricket in focus as the BCCI and CoA plan on International series for the women in blue.

Harmanpreet Kaur was awarded the Arjuna Award for her excellent performance during the World Cup and the ODI series against West Indies.

The show had its best moment when the hosts Amitabh Bachchan rings Indian heartthrob Arijit Singh and makes him talk to Smriti Mandhana while she was on the hot seat. The ace singer also sang her favourite song ‘Channa Mereya’ over the phone.

The Indian players were excited to be a part of the show as they have been felicitated all over India but the grand welcoming was initiated by the one and only Amitabh Bachchan.

The current Indian women cricketers have raised the bars and have set the standards for the upcoming generations.
