After a mind-boggling deal of Rs 11 crore in the Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction, Kings XI Punjab's new recruit KL Rahul went on to watch Indian epic period drama film 'Padmaavat' during India's ongoing tour of South Africa and became the latest victim of trolls within no time.
From jokes on his current form to the whopping IPL Auction deal, netizens left no topic untouched while trolling the top-order batsman.
"Just watched #Padmaavat. Mind Blown by @RanveerOfficial’s acting as #AllaudinKhilji. Stellar Performance, Huge Fan," Rauhl tweeted on Friday and welcomed a thread of trolls and hate comments.
A Twitter user asked the 25-year-old batsman to watch Punjabi films now onwards as the Punjab-based franchise bought him a heavy amount of money in the IPL Auction, recently held in Bengaluru.
"Well brother, Karni Sena wants to know your location," a user replied to his tweet.
While Rahul didn't shy to hail actor Ranveer Singh's performance in the film, a cricket fan questioned the batsman's own show in South African soil.
In the recently-concluded three-match Test series, which India lost 1-2 to South Africa, Rahul managed to score just 30 runs in four innings.
