It seems that the Indian players are inventing new ways to celebrate their historic Test triumph over Sri Lanka. From taking a splash in the pool to going out for dinner and discovering the serenity of Sri Lanka, Virat Kohli and his men are leaving no stone unturned to mark their 3-0 clean sweep over Sri Lanka in the Test series.
Taking their celebration a notch higher, opener Shikhar Dhawan took young all-rounder Hardik Pandya for an auto-rickshaw ride on the streets of Kandy.
Dhawan took to Instagram where he posted a small video of him driving the auto. Pandya, who was sitting at the back, was filming the ride.
Both Dhawan and Pandya performed exceptionally well in the three-Test series. Dhawan scored 358 runs, including two hundreds, and bagged the Man of the Series award.
Meanwhile, Pandya - who made his Test debut in the first Test at Galle - amassed 178 runs with an average of 59.33, including a hundred and a fifty, in the series. The Baroda youngster, who plays for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League, also bagged 4 wickets in the series.
Pandya's efforts earned him high praises from skipper Virat Kohli, who termed the 23-year-old as the biggest positive from the series.
India will now play Sri Lanka in a five-match ODI series and a lone T20I starting August 20 in Dambulla.
