India vs Sri Lanka 2017: India's tour to Sri Lanka to being on 26 July in Galle

India will take on hosts Sri Lanka in the first Test on July 26 at the Galle International Stadium, Galle.

India’s tour of Sri Lanka will comprise of three Tests, five one-day internationals and one-off T20 starting from 26th July at Galle. The will be India’s first series in eight years involving all three formats of the game. Sri Lanka cricket released the whole itinerary of the tour in an official announcement on 7th July. The first Test between Sri Lanka and India will start on July 26 at the Galle International Stadium followed by matches in Colombo and Kandy respectively in August.

The men in blue are currently on a tour to Caribbean Islands for the five-match ODI and one-off T20I series. India have won the ODI series by 3-1 and will take on West Indies for the lone T20 International in Jamaica on Sunday. 

The ODI series will begin at the Dambulla International Stadium on August 20 followed by second and third ODIs at Kandy. The remaining two matches will be played at the historic R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The lone T20 will be also played at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on September 6.

India last toured the Island nation in August 2015 where they played an exciting three-match Test series which they won 2-1 under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. It was India's first Test series win on Sri Lankan soil in 22 years.

2nd Test: August 3-7, SSC, Colombo

3rd Test: August 12-16, PICS, Kandy

1st ODI: August 20, RDICS, Dambulla

2nd ODI: August 24, PICS, Kandy

3rd ODI: August 27, PICS, Kandy

4th ODI: August 31, RPICS, Colombo

5th ODI:  September 3, RPICS, Colombo

One-off T20I: September 6, RPICS, Colombo
