The second Test of the three-match series against South Africa brought out a determined Indian captain as he helped the visitors reduce a massive deficit they were trailing by as Virat Kohli scored his ninth 150 runs. Virat Kohli was on 85* at stumps on day two, came back on day three to thump a few more runs to make his 21st Test century. The Indian batting line-up once again collapsed as it was only Murali Vijay (46) and R Ashwin (38) who had managed to provide the skipper with a few inputs in the first innings of the match at Centurion.

On reaching his eighth 150 as captain, Kohli celebrated by taking out his chain which contains his marriage ring and kissed it as he dedicated his innings to his wife Anushka Sharma.
Kohli became the third Indian batsman after Sachin Tendulkar (2) and Pujara (1) to make 150 runs in Test against South Africa.
Kohli's performance in the 1st Test at Newlands, Cape Town was highly scrutinised by former cricketers and fans as the batting line-up failed miserably to score despite the bowlers collecting all 20 wickets.
India managed to score 307 (all-out) in their first innings, courtesy to Kohli's (153) knock and will aim to collect wickets in the second innings as South Africa add to their lead.
Kohli tied the knot with Anushka Sharma on December 11, 2017 in a private ceremony in Tuscany, Italy. The Bollywood actress was seen in the Newlands stands when India played their first Test match.
