New Delhi: Adding yet another feather to his cap, Team India’s limited-over skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni became the second most successful captain in ODI cricket as he joined former Australian skipper Allan Border to win 107 ODI matches.

Another former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting tops the list of most successful ODI captains with 165 victories.

Dhoni achieved the feat when he led India to a 3-0 clean sweep over Zimbabwe in a three-match ODI series in Harare. He has also become the first Indian captain ever to record three ODI series whitewashes.

In 2008-09, India hammered England 5-0 and in 2011-12, India repeated the feat against the same opponent.

Chasing an easy target of 124 in the third one-day against the hosts Zimbabwe, India registered a 10-wicket victory as KL Rahul and debutant Faiz Fazal smashed fifties.

During the third and last match of the ODI series against Zimbabwe, Dhoni also became the first Indian wicket-keeper and fourth in the world to complete 350 dismissals in one-day cricket that include 261 catches and 89 stumpings.

Ahead of him on the list are Kumar Sangakkara with 482 dismissals, followed by Adam Gilchrist (472 dismissals) and Mark Boucher (424 dismissals).
