Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni, two stars of Indian innings in second One-Day International (ODI) against England, on Thursday achieved several milestones of their own.
The duo added 256 runs between them in 38.2 overs to bring the Indian innings back on track after England pacer Chris Woakes had reduced the hosts to 25/3 by the fifth over.
Yuvraj Singh, 150 off 127, scored a century in limited over match after six years. His last ODI century came in 2011 during the World Cup.
Dhoni’s 134-run innings came on 122 balls with 6 sixes and 10 boundaries.
Here are some of the milestones achieved by both batsmen at the Barabati Stadium here on Thursday:
1. Yuvraj surpassed his best score of 139 runs. He now has 14 century in 295 matches.
2. He also accumulated the most runs by an Indian batsman against England, going past the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.
3. He also crossed the landmark of 150 sixes in his ODI career. He now has 151.
4. The partnership of 256 runs between Dhoni and Yuvraj is the fifth highest partnership by Indian and second highest for fourth wicket by Indian.
5. Dhoni crossed the milestone of 200 sixes in his ODI career and now has 203.
