Amidst of all the tensions between the two neighbouring countries - India and Pakistan, Cricket silently continues to play the role of ‘healer’ to bridge the gap. The latest example of this overgrowing bonding was aptly summed up in a heart-warming post shared by Pakistan pacer Kainat Imtiaz on her official Instagram account that instantly grabbed eyeballs all around.

India defeated Pakistan by 95 runs in their third ICC Women’s World Cup encounter on Sunday at Derby, England. After the match, Pakistan woman cricketer Kainat Imtiaz posted a photo with India’s bowling spearhead - Jhulan Goswami and credited her as her idol who inspired Imtiaz to choose cricket as a profession.

Kainat wrote, "Let me share a story with you all. In 2005 I saw the Indian team for the 1st time as the Asia Cup was held in Pakistan. I was the ball picker during the tournament... I saw @jhulangoswami. The fastest bowler of that time. I was so impressed that I chose cricket as a career. Specifically fast bowling. It’s a proud moment for me as after 12 years today in 2017 I am playing this ODI World Cup with one of my inspirations and getting more inspired.......,"

Jhulan Goswami is a known name in Women’s cricket and is currently the highest wicket-taker in ODI history. For many budding women’s cricketers, the Indian pacer is a legend in the cricket world and was considered one of the fastest woman bowler in her early days.

The young Pakistan pacer also posted a picture with former India captain and cricket legend – Anjum Chopra with the caption 'It was an honour meeting this legend'.

Earlier, after the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 Final where Pakistan defeated India, a similar incident of this close bonding between the players of two countries garnered wide praise from all quarters. Pakistan batsman Azhar Ali openly expressed his gratitude towards Indian cricket stars - MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh for posing with his children. Ali shared the message on his official Twitter handle.

The game is the real winner!
