Hasin Jahan, the estranged wife of India's troubled pacer Mohammed Shami, met Delhi Daredevils CEO Hemant Dua on Sunday asked him to bar the fast bowler from playing in the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). IPL 2018 will begin on April 7 with defending Champions Mumbai Indians taking on MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings at Wankhede Stadium.
After meeting Delhi Daredevils CEO, Jahan said, "I kept my point in front of Hemant sir to not keep Shami in the IPL team until he resolves his family feud."
Shami was retained by Delhi Daredevils during the IPL auctions.
The fast bowler is currently booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including attempt to murder, on his wife's complaint.
Jahan has accused Shami of physical and mental abuse, and of having extra-marital affairs.
