The camaraderie between Indian cricket's two greatest superstars - Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni - has been evident since the current national skipper made his debut under the latter. The amount of mutual respect and admiration that exists between the two stalwarts is always visible on the field and off it as well.
Thus when MS Dhoni turned 37 today, his India teammates including Kohli left no stone unturned in making Mahi's birthday a memorable one. While Dhoni's family was present during the cake-cutting ceremony, Virat's better half and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma too was spotted at the birthday bash. If this was not enough, the Indian skipper also posted a heartwarming message on Instagram wishing his senior a very happy birthday along with a photo of him and Anushka with a cake-smeared Dhoni. He wrote: 'Happy birthday Mahi Bhai. God bless you.'
Meanwhile, the BCCI chose the occasion to put out a video tribute on its website which included messages from Dhoni's teammates including Kohli. In the video, Virat says, "You at that age are as fit as ever and as fast as ever. It is great to see you happy, see you smiling and enjoying yourself. I wish you all the best, God bless you. It’s an honour for me to be playing with you still and to have started under you and the respect that we share. My best wishes, all my positive energy towards you always, God bless you, cheers."
