Kanpur: Gujarat Lions all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has been penalised 50 per cent of his match fee for breaching the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team's match against Mumbai Indians at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.
Bravo admitted to the Level 2 offence (Article 2.2.7) for inappropriate and deliberate physical contact with a player in the course of play during a match.
For Level 2 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the match referee's decision is final and binding.
After plying his skills for the Mumbai Indians in the first three seasons of the IPL, Bravo was taken up by the Chennai Super Kings ahead of the 2011 IPL.
A hard-hitting batsman and a decent-paced bowler, Bravo is an asset to any T20 side in the world. His all-round usefulness in the field led the CSK think tank to retain him ahead of the 2014 season. Ahead of IPL 2016 the West Indian all-rounder was picked by the new team Gujarat Lions.
